The following posters were completed by participants in the project using the community's computer resouce centre located at the new Wugularr school. Like all events and tasks from htis week, these posters form part of their assessment evidence toward their community services and youth work qulaifications. Click on the links below to view them.
Getting Ready
Edmund Ryan says that "his nephew, Anton is a good worker, he was getting the firewood for the BBQ" and for the movie night. He also said that "his cousin Chester helped a lot, he's painting the Youth Centre door with a picture of the Waterfall".
Community BBQ and Youth Centre Opening (Monday 18th August, 3.30pm)
We had a community BBQ at the youth centre. Some visitors out from out to Beswick the BBQ to open the youth centre. Edmund Ryan (12 years) said "I was excited about the BBQ, the food was delicious"
Youth Outdoor Movie Night (Wednesday 20th August, 2008. 7.00pm)
We went down to the Art's Centre to set up for the movie night. We set up the PA system, movie screen, popcorn machine and the coffee machine. Every one enjoyed themselves and we raised $102 from seling popcorn.The movie's were STEP UP 2, BEE MOVIE and a SURPRISE MOVIE for every one to watch, it was a great night. We want to set up a committee to start more events and to work out how to spend the money we raised.
Edmund Ryan (12 years) said "the movie night was awesome, because Step Up 2 had good dancing, football movie was good and the popcorn was nice"

Youth Disco (Friday 22nd August, 2008)
The disco was a great success, lots of youth came and danced. Money was raised from selling sausage sizzles for the Beswick Bears football side.
